TERMS & CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and services provided by Talitha Serengeti Safaris. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Bookings & Reservations
All bookings must be made through our official communication channels (email, website, or authorized representatives).
A reservation is only confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit and written confirmation from Talitha Serengeti Safaris.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate personal and travel information at the time of booking.
2. Payment Policy
- A non-refundable deposit of 30%–50% is required to secure your booking.
- The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to arrival.
- Bookings made within 30 days of travel require full payment upfront.
- Payments can be made via approved methods (bank transfer, online payment, or other agreed channels).
3. Pricing & Inclusions
- All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated.
- Prices include only the services specified in your itinerary.
- Prices may be subject to change due to increases in park fees, taxes, or government regulations.
- Once a booking is confirmed, prices remain fixed unless significant external changes occur beyond our control.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellations must be made in writing and will incur the following charges:
- More than 30 days before arrival: Partial refund (deposit may be retained)
- 15–30 days before arrival: 50% of total cost charged
- 7–14 days before arrival: 75% of total cost charged
- Less than 7 days or no-show: 100% of total cost charged
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within a reasonable timeframe.
Bank charges and transaction fees are non-refundable.
5. Changes & Amendments
Any changes to bookings must be requested in writing.
All amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.
We reserve the right to adjust itineraries due to operational, safety, or environmental factors.
6. Travel Insurance
All clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:
- Trip cancellations or interruptions
- Medical emergencies and evacuation
- Loss of personal belongings
- Travel delays
Talitha Serengeti Safaris is not responsible for any costs incurred due to lack of adequate insurance.
7. Passports, Visas & Health Requirements
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have:
- Valid passports (minimum 6 months validity)
- Required visas for entry into Tanzania
- Necessary vaccinations and health documentation
Any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or special requirements must be disclosed prior to travel.
8. Liability
Talitha Serengeti Safaris acts as an intermediary between clients and service providers (lodges, airlines, transport services).
We are not liable for:
- Injury, loss, or damage to persons or property
- Delays, cancellations, or changes caused by third parties
- Events beyond our control, including weather, natural disasters, or political unrest
All activities are undertaken at the client’s own risk.
9. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Civil unrest or strikes
- Pandemics or health emergencies
In such cases, alternative arrangements may be offered where possible, but refunds are not guaranteed.
10. Code of Conduct
Clients are expected to:
- Respect wildlife and follow all park regulations
- Follow instructions from guides at all times
- Respect local cultures and communities
Failure to comply may result in termination of services without refund.
11. Complaints & Claims
Any complaints must be reported immediately to your guide or our office to allow prompt resolution.
Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days after the end of the trip.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By confirming a booking with Talitha Serengeti Safaris, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
