Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp+
Trek through rainforest from Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa (Forest Camp).
Day 2Forest Camp to Shira 1 Camp+
Climb onto the Shira Plateau to Shira 1 Camp.
Day 3Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp+
Cross the plateau to Shira 2 Camp, with clear views of Kibo.
Day 4Shira 2 to Barranco via Lava Tower+
Climb to the Lava Tower (4,630m) for acclimatisation, then descend to Barranco Camp.
Day 5Barranco to Karanga Camp+
Climb the Barranco Wall and cross to Karanga Camp, a shorter acclimatisation day.
Day 6Karanga to Barafu Camp+
Continue to Barafu Camp (4,673m), the final camp before the summit push.
Day 7Summit Day โ Uhuru Peak+
A midnight ascent via Stella Point to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), then descend to Mweka Camp.
Day 8Descent to Mweka Gate+
Descend through the forest to Mweka Gate, receive your summit certificate, and transfer to your hotel.
